Cupcake cards!!

Hello and a very good morning to one and all, and it IS a lovely morning here in North West Wales in the UK, blue skies and wall to wall sunshine, at last!!!!!!!!!lololol, this is the sort of weather we have all been waiting for, had a great day in the garden yesterday and got loads of jobs done, so as from today we can both sit in the garden now and admire our handywork!!
And so on to my latest cards, I saw something similar to these a while back and thought to myself then I will have a go at making some of them if I can find the right cupcake cases!!
I love these spotty ones with contrasting plain ones!!! very pretty I think don't you??

At first I just made the pink one, and then I thought not everyone likes the sugary pink so I decided to make a blue card as well, at least that way my customers have a choice!!!

Well thats it for now, hope everyone has a great weekend and the sun shines for you too!!!

Our Garden!

I know I keep on mentioning our garden and got to wondering if any of you out there might be interested in having a look at it when it is at it's best during the spring and summer months??
Anyway, here goes, I will only add a few, and see if I get any response from them.

Our garden is on 3 levels, this view is of the top level, where we have planted trees to give us some much needed shade if and when we do get a good summer, we also planted up lots of pots because the borders up there are only very narrow and can't gat much in them!

This is looking down the garden from the swing area to the second level, where we have a small pond and 2 different seating places, looking down the Nantlle Valley which is very beautiful!

This is the spectacular view we have from our middle level, no matter what time of day or how many times you look at it it never looks the same, the clouds and their shadows they cast over the hills, sun and shade make them change their look all through the day, so we never get tired of looking at it!!!

Last but not least is a little photo of part of our pond, at the back is a small waterfall but it can't be seen in this photo, we love sitting on the bench at the side of it and watch the fish, and listen to the waterfall gurgling away over the rocks!
Well thats it, I hope you enjoyed the little peek into our pride and joy, and if you would like to see more I shall be happy to post some!

I nearly forgot to add one from our kitchen window, this is my view of the garden when I'm washing the dishes!!!lololololol.

Cherry Blossom

It seems such a long time since I posted anything on here, but the weather has been so lovely we thought it best to get out into the garden while the sun was shining and get some of the jobs done that the awful winter has left us with!!!
But over the weekend I did manage to get some cards made, a Anniversary card, and 2 birthday cards. so I have been busy!!
The anniversary card is for our son and daughter in law, they got married in May and the church path was lined with dozens of Cherry trees all in full bloom, it really did look amazing!!! so I thought I would add a sprig of Cherry blossom on their card.

I didn't want to stick any greetings on it so I added a little lacey heart and put a card in it wishing them a happy Anniversary.

Now this one I must confess I got the idea for the dress made from a doily from Angie on Paper, Paws, etc.
Where she very kindly put the instructions on how to fold the doily!!! Thank you very much Angie!
I thought it was so pretty and decided to make a card with the dress on it for our Great Grand daughter, I just know she will love it as much as I do!!!!

This last one I really love, the expression on "Hilda's" face is priceless!!! I wonder how many people this has happened to when they have tried to get onto or off of a boat!!!!!lolololol.

Well thats it, all the three cards I had time to make in the last few days, I hope you enjoy looking at them and all the others I have put on here too, please try to add a few comments if you come to look at them, I would love to hear from you!!!

A pretty Fan!

Well hello to everyone, I don't know about you but I will be glad to see the end of April, and hope
fully the month of May will finally bring us some lovely weather! I really want to get out into the garden, everything is starting to grow like mad, but the weather is keeping us in doors, and at this time of year there is so much to do in the gardens isn't there??
But never mind, it has given me a little extra time for making some cards, so I should be grateful really!!lol.
I bought a fan die from Marieanne designs, and I think it is so pretty and delicate, will make some really lovely wedding cards don't you think??

I have added some little seed pearls to the open weave and backed it with blue card and added blue ribbon and flowers, I tried different backgrounds and decided on this embossed one in a deep cream colour as I thought the blue looked pretty on it!!

This one I think is really nice, most of the dies are from Marieanne designs, all except the blossom bough thats from Cottagecutz, These typye of cards are not usually my type of card, but something about the simplicity of the overall look I really like, would make some nice childrens cards I think???

Negative and Positive!

Hello and and Good Morning to everyone!! well thank goodness the weather is beginning to get a wee bit warmer, and not before time I say!! We still have a bit of snow left on the mountains and hillsides, but I think by the end of the week or beginning of next it should be almost gone, except up on Mt Snowdon of course, it has been reported that it was in excess of 9ft deep up there, so it will take a bit on shifting!!!lol.
Anyway! Here I am again with a couple of cards I made yesterday, I hope you approve??
They are more or less identical, except one is white on black, and the other is black on white!!!
See what you think.

I used the lacey doilie from Spellbinders for the main part, layered all the pieces on top of each other then just added some die cut leaves a ribbon bow and a couple of flowers!!

Then with this one I just reversed the colours!!
The black and white little branches at the top of the card are from the Marianne design dies, as are the other leaves and florishes on both cards.

pretty bicycle!

I forgot to add this card made with one of Anne Marie designs, it is a clear stamp, now if you knew me you would be saying, "Pardon???" right now, because I don't "do" stamping, I have tried, but I am just no good at it, especially the colouring in part, thats if I even get the stamp part right, usually I only ever get little bits of it on the card!!! or over ink it and get all the edges on the card too!!! Chaos!!
But when I saw this stamp I just fell for it, and thought if I am going to learn how to stamp, this is the one to make me do it!!! I just think it is adorable!!! how pretty and feminine is that???

Don't you just love it????
I saw a photo of it done and someone had added a drawing of an envelope looking like it was in the basket, so I thought well why not just make a small slit across the basket edge, make a tiny envelope and pop it into the slit!! looks really good!!

Little Birdies!

Forgive me for not coming on here for such a long time, It
has just been one thing after another lately, but the best thing was that we have had our family to stay with us over Easter, and it was wonderful, a very good time was had by all, we really didn't want to see them go!
But with a bit of luck they should all be back again in the summer holidays! fingers crossed!
Well I have managed to make a couple of cards during all that time, one was by using some dies from the Marieanne collection, I really love these dies and am starting to get quite a collection of them too.

I think this card is so pretty, I made this for our daughters wedding anniversary.

An ideal card for a friends wedding don't you think?? easy to make, just peices of lace and ribbon edgings and a few flowers!!!

Now I must hold my hand up on this one I made it a while ago for my SIL's birthday, she has a couple of Siamese cats, so I thought she would like this one.

Inside it I made a gold pocket to hold a bookmark.

I first saw this picture from the CD  Enchanted Dreams, and I thought the mermaid was so beautiful I didn't really want to mess around with it to take away the beauty of it, so I just put it in a silver frame and let it speak for it's self.

Last but not least is the little card from the marieanne dies, I love it,

So cute, something completely different from my usual cards, and I really enjoyed making it!!
